What Is the Interactive Periodic Table?
This interactive periodic table lets you explore all 118 elements the way a chemist would — not just a static chart. Switch the coloring between element categories, electronegativity, density, melting point or atomic radius to see live heatmaps across the whole table, or drag the temperature slider from absolute zero to 6,000 Kelvin and watch every element flip between solid, liquid and gas in real time. Click any element for a full dossier: a drawn electron shell diagram, its electron configuration, physical properties, notable isotopes (with half-lives and famous uses) and common compounds. Search by name, symbol or atomic number, and step through neighboring elements with the arrow keys. Runs entirely in your browser — nothing to install, no server round-trips.
How It Works
Click any tile to open its details in the side panel — electron shells, configuration, properties, isotopes and compounds. Use the view dropdown to color the table by category or by a property heatmap, and in 'State at Temperature' drag the slider to see elements change state. Search by name, symbol or number, and use the arrow keys to move between elements once one is selected.
