The Start/Sit Tool answers fantasy football's weekly question: who should I start? Search any two or three NFL players and it compares them head-to-head using live weekly projections, each player's last three actual games, and current injury status — then renders a verdict: who to start, with a confidence percentage and the reason. Pick your scoring format (PPR, Half PPR or Standard), choose the season and week, and filter by position. Data comes from the free public Sleeper API and requests are cached in your browser, so it is fast, free, and needs no account. Update your lineup against it every week of the season.
How It Works
Pick your scoring format and week, then type two (or three) player names into the compare slots. The verdict banner shows who to start and how confident the model is; below it, each player's projected points, recent-game scores, injury tag and key projected stat lines sit side by side. Copy Verdict puts a shareable one-liner on your clipboard.
When to Use It

- The free public Sleeper API — the same projections and weekly stats that power Sleeper fantasy leagues. Requests are cached in your browser for speed; nothing requires an account or key.
- How is the verdict calculated?
- A weighted score: 55% this week's projection, 30% average of the player's last three actual games, and 15% projection adjusted for injury status (Questionable, Doubtful and Out each apply increasing penalties). The confidence number reflects how far apart the players land.
- Does it support PPR and Standard?
- Yes — PPR, Half PPR and Standard scoring, switchable at any time; every projection and recent-game number updates to match.
- Can I use it during the offseason?
- Yes — it shows the most recent completed season so you can explore matchups and test it out, and it flips to live weekly data automatically once the new season starts.
